Ultrarunner and World Record Holder
Neil Rhodes has run across two mountain ranges on different continents, in succession. Neil, a personal trainer who set a world record for climbing on a VersaClimber, says: “The VersaClimber is a machine I can use with people who want a maximal workout, or a new gym user requiring less intense training. It’s so versatile that I look at it as one of the most valuable tools in any training regime.”
In 2011 Neil crossed 1,500 km of mountains, with over 55,000m of ascent, in 6 countries, on 2 continents, over 8 weeks, setting 3 new ‘World Firsts’. This was a combination of 4 races, Trans-Alp Bike, Trans-Rockies bike (Canada), Trans-Rockies Run (USA) & Trans-Alpine Run. He is also a 10 Times Transalpine competitor and 4 Time Trans-Rockies competitor. He is the only person to have run across Alps & Rockies, back to back, 4 times. He has been a GB squad competitor at The World Indoor Rowing Championships eight times and, as a concept2 rower, he holds the Guinness World Record for the One Million Metres distance.
