Tal Singh
National Boxing Champion
Tal Singh currently competes as an amateur boxer. In 2018 he made history when he won the England Boxing National Championship title and was recognised as the first Sikh boxer in England boxing history ever to do this.
He recently entered the 2019 National Championships and remains the reigning champion.
“During my training, I’ve been lucky enough to train alongside many successful boxing champions and trainers such as David Haye (former Cruiserweight and Heavyweight World Champion), Joe Joyce (2016 Olympic Silver medallist), Derek Chisora (World Heavyweight contender) and Ismael Salas (trainer of 19 World Champions as well as multiple Olympic Gold Medallists).
“I cannot recommend the VersaClimber enough as a key piece of kit for athletes in all disciplines. As a boxer, I need to be fit enough for short, sudden bursts of energy, as well as have enough endurance to last the full 12 rounds. With the training that I do, I can change the level of resistance on the VersaClimber to suit longer cardio sessions, or explosive HIIT training. It really is the perfect all-rounder.
“My ultimate goal in the sport is to win the World Championship title in multiple weight classes and be the first Sikh in Professional boxing history to achieve this. I want to motivate and inspire the younger generation of not only Sikh boxers but Asians of Punjabi descent in any sport.
“With my teammates believing in my talent and ability, I’m keen to create history.”
